Question 254655: I need to show the work for this problem please. I have tried over and over.
(x^2-7x+6)/(x-2)
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What have you tried?
And exactly what do you want with this expression?
It is not an equation so can't be solved for x.
At most, it can be simplified or factored
(x^2-7x+6)/(x-2)=(x-6)(x-1)/(x-2)
We could actually divide it out and get x-5 with a remainder of -4.
So again I ask what exactly did you want to do with this expression?
