Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify by removing a factor of 1.
x^2-4x+3 over x^2+3x-18
--------------
Factor:
[(x-3)(x-1)] / [(x+6)(x-3)]
---
The (x-3)/(x-3) is a "factor of 1"; cancel it out.
--------------
= (x-1)/(x+6)
