Question 251080: simplfy Sqrt(14) * Sqrt(6)
Answer by MRperkins(300)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You multiply the numbers under the radical but they stay under the radical.
This can simplify by factoring the product and taking out pairs of prime numbers.
This problem factors to 2*7*2*3 Since there are 2 "2's" then we can pull them out of the radical and you are left with (you multiply back the numbers that you are unable to pull out)
I encourage all students to ask questions. If ANYTHING is unclear, then please email me. We can set up an online whiteboard and practice until you are confident in your work. You will also be able to ask any questions and get real-time answers with illustrations (if needed). This is all volunteer work so it doesn't cost you anything.
