Question 231937: 3x = solve radical equation

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x =
SQUARE BOTH SIDES.
9X^2=9X-2
9X^2-9X+2=0
(3X-1)(3X-2)=0
3X-1=0
3X=1
X=1/3 ANS.
3X-2=0
3X=2
X=2/3 ANS.
PROOFS.
3*1/3=SQRT(9*1/3-2)
1=SQRTSQRT(3-2)
1=SQRT1
1=1
3*2/3=SQRT(9*2/3-2)
2=SQRT(6-2)
2=SQRT4
2=2
