What is the equation of the line with an undefined slope and x intercept =2

Step 1. The general equation is y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. The equation called the slope-intercept form.

Step 2. We are given that the x-intercept is 2 which means at x=2 then y=0.

Step 3. Substitute in the general equation to find b

Step 4. With b=-2m substitute in equation of Step 1.

An equation with an undefined slope is one that has a 0 (zero) in the denominator of its slope. Additionally, such an equation is NOT a function, as it has numerous "y" values for a single "x" value.

This means that it'll have ONE and ONLY one x-intercept, and NUMEROUS y-values.

As is obvious, this equation also reflects a line that is VERTICAL, and as mentioned above, will intercept the x-axis at ONe and ONLY ONE point.

Therefore, the equation is simply
