You are on the right track, it seems you forgot to subtract 24-3,remember what you do to one side you HAVE to do the EXACT same thing to the other side, so that gives you;
3x=21
then divide each side by 3;
=
x=7
The thing most people seem to forget is doing the same thing to both sides. You will get your diploma! Good Luck!
