Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Multiply thet top and bottom by the given denominator.
The numerator becomes sqrt{2048a^10b^12}.
The denominator simply comes out of the radicand or 128a^6b^6.
We now need to simplify the numerator.
So, sqrt{2048a^10b^12} = sqrt{64}*sqrt{2}*sqrt{4}*a^5*b^3.
We need to continue breaking down the numerator.
Then sqrt{64}*sqrt{2}*sqrt{4}*a^5*b^3 = 16*a^5*b^3*sqrt{2}.
Our fraction now looks like this:
[16*a^5*b^3*sqrt{2}]/128a^6b^6
We now simplify the fraction a bit more to get:
sqrt{2}/8ab^3
Is this clear?
