Question 202252: I am using w=Crˉ²(the exponent is -2). I have a word problem in which an object is 100 pounds at sea level. I need to find the value of C that makes this equation true, seal level is 3,963 miles from the center of the earth.
100= C*3,963ˉ²(the exponent is -2).
C = 100/3,963ˉ² (the exponenet is -2).
At this point I am not sure what direction to take, can someone please help me toward the right direction.

Not a lot of pointing required. You have the 'numbers correct'. Wat you still need to add in are the 'units'.
Now just simplify the number, but remember to leave in the units. C ends up being in terms of pounds/miles^2
