Question 197864: could you please show me steps for solving these following questions
√2(10-3√2)
and
(2√7=4)^2
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
√2(10-3√2)
= 10sqrt(2) - 3*2
= 10sqrt(2) - 6
=====================
and
(2√7+4)^2
= (2sqrt(7) + 4)(sqrt(7) + 4)
Use FOIL to get:
F: 2sqrt(7)*2sqrt(7) = 4*7 = 28
O: 2sqrt(7)*4 = 8sqrt(7)
I: 4*2sqrt(7)= 8sqrt(7)
L: 4*4 = 16
-----------------------------
Combine the four results to get:
44 + 16sqrt(7)
