Question 171817: Solve for Z
38. √z + 10 = √6z + 12

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
sqrt(z)+10=sqrt(6z)+12
sqrt(z)-sqrt(6z)=2
2.10102z=4 square each side.
z=1.90384
If you replace z in the original equation with 1.90384 it will not check out so there is no answer.
As you can see from the graph the lines sqrt(z)+10 and sqrt(6z)+12 never intersect.
