Question 162768: How will I go about simplifing these problem?
1) 3b[SQRT(27a^5b)] + 2a[SQRT(3a^3b^3)]
2) 3/[SQRT(5) - 2]
And how can I solve this problem?
3)

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1)
3b(27a^5b)^(1/2)+2a(3a^3b^3)^(1/2)
3b((3*9)a^5b)^1/2+...
9b(sqrt(3)a^2.5b^.5)+...
9sqrt(3)a^2.5b^1.5...
...2a(sqrt(3)a^1.5b^1.5)
...2sqrt(3)a^2.5b^1.5
=11sqrt(3)a^2.5b^1.5
.
2)
3/(sqrt(5)-2)
=
=(3sqrt(5)+6)/(5-4)
=3sqrt(5)+6
.
3)

x+4=x-4sqrt(x)+4 Square each side.
-4sqrt(x)=0
16x=0 square each side
x=0
replace x with zero in the equation. It is not an equation. There is no answer.
