Start with the given expression.

Rewrite the radical expression into exponential form.
^1x^4y^{20}\right)^{\frac{1}{4}})
Rewrite

^{\left(1\right)\left(\frac{1}{4}\right)}x^{\left(4\right)\left(\frac{1}{4}\right)}y^{\left(20\right)\left(\frac{1}{4}\right)})
Multiply the outer exponent by each of the inner exponents.

Multiply the exponents.
^{\frac{1}{4}}x^{1}y^{5})
Reduce.
Convert back to radical notation.
Take the fourth root of to get
