You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The problem is rationalize the denominator:
5 over the square root symbol [3]+ square root symbol [5].
:
5%2F%28sqrt%283%29+%2B+sqrt%285%29%29
:
multiply the equation by the conjugate of the denominator;
Note when you FOIL the denominators, the middle terms which contain radicals, will cancel
5%2F%28sqrt%283%29+%2B+sqrt%285%29%29 * %28sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%285%29%29%2F%28sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%285%29%29 = %285%28sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%285%29%29%29%2F%283+-+5%29 = %285%28sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%285%29%29%29%2F%28-2%29 = -%285%28sqrt%283%29+-+sqrt%285%29%29%29%2F2
