I would just use a calculator to find the cuberoot of 0, 1 ,2,3 and 4. Then round to three decimals and subtract 1
There is no reason why no negatives are there. negatives square roots result in imaginary numbers. But negative cuberoots exist (for instance cuberoot of -8 is -2). However many tools cannot plot them well. See the plot below. The negative roots are a mirror image, but they don't show
