sqrt(x) = sqrt(x-8) + 2
Square both sides to get:
x = (x-8) + 4sqrt(x-8) + 4
Isolate the "square" term on one side:
4sqrt(x-8) = 4
Divide both sides:
sqrt(x-8) = 1
Square both sides to get:
x-8 = 1
x = 9
