and then arrange for all terms to be on one side



Rational Roots Theorem and synthetic division, to check for roots, based on the
possibilities of -1, -2, 1, 2. You expect possible four roots.

The roots were checked, done on paper, not shown here, and none of those worked as roots. Best to try a graphing tool, software. When done as so, two real roots; one about 0.0718, and another about 1.794. These would be decimal approximations of irrational roots.
