Complete the square and find the standard form of the equation for the conic section represented by
x^2-10x+25-3y-5-25=0
(x-5)^2-3y-30=0
3y=(x-5)^2-30
y=(1/3)(x-5)^2-10
This is an equation of a parabola that opens upward with vertex at (5,-10)and coefficient A=1/3
Its standard form: y=A(x-h)^2+k, (h,k)=coordinates of vertex, A is a coefficient that affects the slope or width of the parabolic curve
