Equation of hyperbola with center at (0,0); focus at (5,0); and vertex at (2,0)
Hyperbola has a horizontal transverse axis.
Its standard form of equation with center at the origin:
For given hyperbola:
a=2(distance from center to vertex)
a^2=4
c=5(distance from center to focus)
c^2=25
c^2=b^2+a^2
b^2=c^2-a^2=25-4=21
