write this equation in standard form.
9x^2-y^2+8y=52
complete the square:
9x^2-(y^2-8y+16)=52-16
9x^2-(y-4)^2=36
x^2/4-(y-4)^2/36=1
This is an equation of a hyperbola with horizontal transverse axis and center at (0,4)
Its standard form: , (h,k)=(x,y) coordinates of center
