Question 690689: Which of the following is the domain of the function G(F(x))?
F(x) = x - 3, G(y) = 4
G(F(x)) = 4

For the domain of a composite function check for restrictions on the domain of each starting function and for restrictions on the domain of the resulting function.

F(x)=x-3 has all real numbers as the domain. g(y)=4 has all real numbers as the domain. The combined function G(F(x)) = 4 (Substitute x-3 into G(y)=4) for y) has no restrictions.

The domain of the combined function is all real numbers.
