You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given f(x)=-2(x+4)^2+5, find the vertex, domain,range and axis of symmetry.
:
This is in vertex form:f%28x%29=a%28x-h%29%5E2%2Bk, vertex=(h,k), domain is all real numbers, axis of symmetry is x=h, if a is positive, the range is (h,infinity) because it opens upward, if a is negative, the range is (-infinity,h).
:
a=-2, h=-4, k=5
The vertex is: (h,k)=(-4,5)
Domain: all real numbers, (-infinity,infinity)
Range, because a=-2 is: (-infinity,5)
Axis of symmetry is: x=-4
Happy Calculating!!!
