Question 554461: x^2-4y^2-4x+8y=0
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2-4y^2-4x+8y=0
complete the square
(x^2-4x+4)-4(y^2-2y+1)=4-4
(x-2)^2-4(y-1)^2=0
(x-2)^2=4(y-1)^2
take sqrt of both sides
x-2=2(y-1)=2y-2
2y=x
y=x/2
