An equilateral triangle of side a has one vertex at he origin and the opposite side parallel to the y-axis.Find the coordinates of the vertices?
**
Draw a line from the vertex at the origin perpendicular to the opposite side.
This line=√3/2, are the x-coordinates of the other two vertices.
The y-coordinates are a/2 and -a/2.
ans:
coordinates of vertices: (0,0),(√3/2, a/2), (√3/2,-a/2)
