how do you graph y=x^2-6x+7 in standard form
**
y=x^2-6x+7
complete the square
y=(x^2-6x+9)+7-9
y=(x-3)^2-2
this is a parabola of the standard form: y=A(x-h)^2+k, with (h,k) being the (x,y) coordinates of the vertex.
For given equation:
vertex: (3,-2)
other points on curve:
y-intercept: (0,7)
using axis of symmetry, x=3, another point on curve: (6,7)
