Question 479182: Sketch a narrow parabola that spills water and hasa turning point of (0,3). Will this parabola have real or complex roots?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

It will have real roots because it crosses the x-axis. You can
see that it crosses the x-axis at the two points indicated which
are about (-1.7,0) and (1.7,0) so the roots are about
x=-1.7 and x=1.7.
