Answer by fractalier(6550) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First divide by 144 to put it into standard form...we get
16x^2 + 9y^2 = 144
x^2/9 + y^2/16 = 1
This is an ellipse, centered on the origin, with
intercepts (±3, 0) and (0, ±4)
