Answer by mukhopadhyay(490) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2+4y^2-2x-3 = 0
=> (x^2-2x) + (4y^2) - 3 = 0
=> (x-1)^2 + 4y^2 = 4
=> (x-1)^2/4 + y^2/1 = 1
The above equation represents an ellipse in Standard form
