What is the focus point of y= 1/4x^2+2?
---
Convert the equation to vertex form:
(1/4)(x^2) = y-2
---
(x-2)^2 = 4(y-2)
---
Vertex at (2,2)
Parabola opens up so focus is above the vertex.
4p = 4
p = 1

Focus = (2,3)

(1/4)(x^2)=y-2
(x)^2 = 4(y-2)
Vertex at (0,2)
Parabola opens up so focus is above the vertex.
