Question 289572: I've have found no satisfying answer to this problem.
"Write an equation that is the set of all points in the plane equidistant from the point F(0,3) and the line y=-3"
I've tried and tried to get an answer to this question, going step by step the way it was taught, and cannot arrive at a reasonable answer.
Please help! And Please explain how you arrived at your answer as well, I need to understand this!

Plot the line y=-3 and the point (0,3)
Now find the point between those two.
That would be the origin (0,0) since we have (0,-3) on the line and the point (0,3) given
Both the point and the line are 3 units away from(0,0)
Now move along the line and find all points between the line and point that are x units from the line and x units from the point(0,3)
