Question 257513: I need a little bit of help with conic sections as well.. (:
H is the hyperbola with center at (1,1), an x-intercept at (2,0), and one vertex at (5/4,1).

Any help given would be the best thing in the world! I'm stuck to say the least.

Try youtube. I know people usually think of youtube as a social sight for people to post random videos, but there is a LOT of educational videos as well. I have found it as an extremely useful resource when covering a broad range of math topics. Search for key words such as: conic sections, vertex form, and any other key words that are in your chapter. There are some very good videos and some that are poor quality. Use the suggestions after each video to go to related videos. Although I do not usually refer people to youtube, conic sections are best explained with illustrations and youtube covers the topic VERY well.
