That is an expression, not an equation. The word "expression" cannot be the direct object of the verb "solve" in mathematics. "Expression" can only be the direct object of the verb "simplify". You can only solve equations or inequalities. Repost your problem, giving the exact instructions as to what you are to do with the expression. Does it say "factor"? Does it say "find the zeros". One thing is sure. It does NOT say "solve" -- that is, unless you left off an equal sign somewhere.
