You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you graph y=17, you'll find that x can be ANY number and y will ALWAYS be 17. This is because x is not present and can't affect the outcome of the function. So this results in a flat horizontal line at y=17. So the equation is a line.


Note: a point ALWAYS has two components to it: an x-coordinate and a y-coordinate. Since this only supplied you with one coordinate (and not the other), this equation cannot be a point
