Question 1186546: Two stations, located at A (-1.5, 0) and B (1.5, 0) (units are in km),
simultaneously send sound signals to a ship, with the signal travelling at the speed of 0.25 km/s. If the signal from B was received by the ship four seconds before the signal from A, find the equation of the curve containing the possible location of the ship.

Actually,  speed of sound in the air  (in the atmosphere)  is  343 m/s,  or,  equivalently,  0.343 km/s.

Everybody in the world,  who studied  Science in  Middle school, knows this number,
so it is awkward to me to solve this problem with incorrect input data.

People may think that  I  am totally illiterate in  Science . . .
