Question 1164879: A router is in the library of the university which is 1.5 meters away from a student lounge. the range of the router, which services the WIFI connection of the university, has a diameter of 3.5 meters, with it as the center. Can students staying in the lounge connect to the said WIFI? Justify your answer.

Absolutely no way to know. How large is the student lounge? How large is the library? Where is the router placed in the library relative to the location of the student lounge? For example, let's say the library is 25 meters by 25 meters, and the router is in the middle of the library. Obviously, the router only covers about one and a half percent of the library, much less any adjacent room. But if the router was placed against the wall that separates the library from the student lounge, then students within about a meter and a half of the point on the wall where the router is located on the other side could conceivably connect to the network. All in all, it is a genuinely stupid question.
