Question 1108997: Please help me with this problem.
I got 4(x-2)^2-9(y+1)^2=0 Is this Hyperbola?
Can I write this in transformational form? I am not sure how I can put this into standard hyperbola equation (x/a)^2-(y/b)^2=1.
Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
.
The equation in the post

    4%28x-2%29%5E2 - 9%28y%2B1%29%5E2 = 0

IS NOT a hyperbola equation.

This equation describes two intersecting straight lines.

You CAN NOT transform it into the standard hyperbola equation form.
