Find the line of symmetry of parabola whose equation is given by
y = highlight%28cross%28x2-2x-6%29%29 x^2 - 2x-6.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        I assume that there is a  TYPO  in your post,  and it reads as   y = x%5E2+-+2x+-6.
y = x%5E2+-+2x+-6 = %28x-1%29%5E2-7.
The vertex is at x= 1.
The line of symmetry is vertical line through the vertex, so it is x = 1.
