Question 1086304: the coordinates of the two vertices of a triangle are (6,-1) and (-3,7). find the coordinates of the third vertex so that the centroid of the triangle will be at the origin

.
Let the coordinates of the third vertex be (x,y).

Then the equations for x an y are

6 + (-3) + x = 0,

(-1) + 7 + y = 0.

Which gives x = -3, y = -6.
