Question 1062055: Find the equation of the parapola whose focus is (2,-3) and the directory with the line 3x+4y+5.
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There is a typo because "3x+4y+5" is not an equation since it
does not have an = sign. If you'll tell me where the = sign
goes in the equation for the line in the thank-you note form
below, I'll get back to you by email. Also I believe it should
be "directrix is", not "directory with".
[Note: There is never any charge because I'm a retired prof and
just do this for fun.]
