Easier if use the equation in the form, -(1/3)x=y^2 and maybe show this as -%281%2F3%29%28x-0%29=%28y-0%29%5E2. The reason is because if you knew focus and directrix and derived the equation for the parabola, the form of the equation could be adjusted into that one.
Watch the arrangement of x and y in your equation carefully. The parabola has horizontal symmetry axis, and vertex is the far rightmost point of the parabola.
