We will have to do some factoring and then complete a couple of squares...we get
5x^2-4y^2+10x-24y-131=0
5x^2 + 10x - 4y^2 - 24y = 131
5(x^2 + 2x + 1) - 4(y^2 + 6y + 9) = 131 + 5 - 36 = 100
5(x+1)^2 - 4(y+3)^2 = 100
