Question 1030609: Can you help me factor this equation y^3-y^2-y-2=0?
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y^3-y^2-y-2=0
The easiest way I found was to use synthetic division, which gives one root of 2 and no roots of 1 or -1
Therefore, the factors are (y-2)(y^2+y+1)
