The question was
A right triangle has sides of 8ft. And 12 ft.. Find the hypotenuse.
Which I did
8^2+12^2=c^2
64+144=c^2
square root 208= square root c^2
14.4ft. = c
But I don't get how it ended up as 14.4ft.

At cē = 208, take the square root of each side.
c = √208
c ≈ 14.4
The square root of 208 is approximately 14.4.
