Just was wondering if you knew how to do it, because I've got an exam in it tomorrow :?

Hi
Applying the Pythagorean Theorem
(x-1)^2 + 6^2 = (x+1)^2
x^2 - 2x + 1 + 36 = x^2 + 2x + 1
36 = 4x
9 = x
Other Leg = 8cm and Hyp = 10cm
CHECKING our answer***
64cm^2 + 36cm^2 = 100cm^2
