An object 9.6 feet tall casts a shadow that is 28.8 feet long.
How long in feet would the shadow be for an object which is 19.5 feet tall?
:
let s = the length of the shadow of a 19.6 ft object
The relationship of an object to it's shadow is the same, therefore:
=
cross multiply
9.6s = 19.5*28.8
9.6s = 561.6
s = 561.6/9.6
s = 58.5 ft
