You have a triangle with the balloon at the top vertex
Left hand vertex is = 45 degrees vert
Right hand vertex is = 30 degrees
Draw an altitude from the base up to the balloon,
this is the height = 112m
Now we consider the two halves of the triangle
separately
1) 45 degree side:
Tan = Opposite/ Adjacent
Tan 45 = 112/adjacent
Adjacent = 112/tan 45
Adjacent = 112m
2) 30 degree side:
Tan 30 = 112/adjacent
Adjacent = 112/ Tan 30
= 194m
112m + 194m = 306m
This is the distance between the observers.

Here's the question:
The two observers of a balloon 112m height have an angle of elevation of 45 degree and 30 degree. Find the maximum distance between them.
Distance that observer 1 is from the point on the ground, directly below the balloon = , or 193.99 m
Distance that observer 2 is from the point on the ground, directly below the balloon = , or 112 m
Distance between observer 1 and observer 2 = 193.99 - 112, or m
You can do the check!!
