: Please I need help with this Question using Pythagorean theorem and expressing my answer in the simplest radical form. The triangle I am trying to solve from has a 90 degree angle, a 30 degree angle, and a 60 degree angle. On the side of the 60 degree angle the length of the leg is 10. Now, I have to find the hypotenuse and the length of the other leg, with my anwer in simplest radical form. All I know is and I have to solve for a & c , but I haven't the slightest clue where to go from there. Can someone please please help??? This question is from textbook

The simple relationship on a 30, 60 and 90 deg Rt Trainge is,
1, root3 and 2. This means if the side opposite to the 30 degree is x units,
then the side opposite to the 60 degree angle is root3 times x and the side opposite to the 90 degree is two times x.
So the solution to your problem is 10, 10*root3 and 10*2.
OK.

use trigonometry .

tan 30 = 10/a
or 1/{(3)^1/2} = 10/a
or a = 10 * (3)^(1/2)
= 10 * 1.73
= 17.3
c = sqrt( 100 + 299.29)
=19.98
