Question 584390: Hi, I'm confused on how to find the simplest radical form. I know the process of how to get to the number which you have to simplify, but I do not know how to simplify.
Find the answer of x. Leave your answer in simpleest radical form.
This is what I've gotten so far:

a^2+b^2=c^2 ------> 5^2+4^2=c^2 ----->25+16=c^2 ----> sqrt(c^2)= sqrt(41)
Now, how do I put that "sqrt(c^2)= sqrt(41)" into simplest radical form? It'd really help! Thank you.

41 is a prime number. is in simplest radical form.
If it was a different number, you would try to factor out a number that is a perfect square, and then simplify. For example,
