c%5E2+=+a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2 --> where c is the longest side, the hypotenuse.

c%5E2+=+5%5E2+%2B+12%5E2
c%5E2+=+25+%2B+144
c%5E2+=+169

--> c+=+sqrt%28169%29
--> c = 13

what is complicated about that? :-)
