Answer by nik_consult(24)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
h(x)=x2(2 means squared)-1
(a) h(2)= (2)^2-1
= 4-1
= 3
(b)h(-2)= (-2)^2-1
= 4-1
= 3
(c) h(t) = 15
x^2 -1 = 15
x^2 = 1+15
= 16
x = sqrt(16)
= + 4 @ -4
(d) h(7.32)= (7.32)^2-1
= 53.5824 - 1
= 52.5824

When you have a function such as and the problem says find H(2) it means for you to substitute 2 in place of x and solve the equation it will give you what h will be.

When it has it wants you to set the whole equation equal to 15 and solve it so

Now you have all the information to finish doing the work on this problem enjoy
