Question 360567: I need to measure the height of a building using the pythagorean theorem, using shadows and a fence or a post and measure the shadows. I understand what I have to do but I can't figure out how to get my answer. I can get the measurements of the post and it's shadow but the building all I have is the length of the shadow now what do I do?
Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

multiply f shadow by x
multiply p shadow by the fence
solve for x
